Verify, please.

There's something odd here. The article was dated yesterday and yet it seems that we don't have a word from ABS, even late last night... kung hindi man totoo I think they should tell the public that it's misinformation. Something must be happening 'under the table'. LOL

True. I was waiting for something about it yesterday night and it was all in vain. But it was all over the papers today. The Palace even said something about it. And ABS-CBN released its official statement this morning (however, it said that Drilon and the others are "missing" until they know the details; there was never a mention of kidnapping or abduction). A report said that the Abu Sayyaf demanded 10M for their release.

It's just really puzzling that it was never reported on yesterday night. Kahit ba rumor report lang. And that link I posted was the only one I could find in the internet about it.

Ding Gagelonia, a journalist for 30 years, now writing freelance, and a contributor to FilipinoVoices.com, is giving updates on this issue, he had early knowledge of the abduction, and according to him, it was "a news blackout clamped by police authorities and, in journalistic parlance, a story embargo requested by ABS-CBN, a practice normally honored by all journalists." I'm sure, ABS-CBN just needed time to coordinate, and check with authorities if their story would hamper their operations..
