...but it doesn't fit me. Pfft.

Anyway, yesterday night was probably one of the best nights I've ever had in a very long while.

Robby and I met up with LA Lomarda and Aaron James San Pedro on Ayala MRT Station and took the bus to Bonifacio High Street. We were a bit early, but the place was already in full swing by then. And, as expected, we spent the first few minutes photo-whoring, courtesy of Fotoloco (link points to the photos taken in the event). One of the people in charge of the booth recognized us from the 88DB.com Blogger Party (link points to the photos taken in the event) a couple of days ago.

We had our caricatures made by one heck of a talented artist as people continued to pour in.  The food was relatively okay, but the service was BLAH (dun wanna elaborate, but I was really pissed). Finally, the event started, hosted by a very hilarious man in the form of Gabe Mercado (IMDB profile). I loved his act, hah.

There were games, one in which I "participated" in with my groupmates --- Noemi Dado, Aileen Apolo, Jehzeel Laurente, and Jane Uymatiao. A charade of sort wherein the one who got first dibs would have to be the first one to kiss Kenneth (one of the losers). I did get to really "participate" though, when Aileen suddenly whispered the answer to me on one of the acts. Good thing something clicked in her mind, as I was honestly at loss throughout the game. I told yall, I'm really slow when it comes to those stuff. ^_^ Sadly, we lost, which was pretty ironic in itself since the event was supposed to be for the Losers. :)

The 2nd game was a dating game with a twist, the searcher being Arthur of the Chickenmafia (mascot, haha) fame. It was really funny. I took about 2 or 3 videos while the searchees were answering Arthur's questions, and the shots were dizzying 'cause I couldn't stop shaking with laughter. He successfully named all the loser searchees, which was notable, because if I was in his place, I probably wouldn't be able to name even one. (And he got the BIG price...not counting the one the Chickenmafia got during the 88DB.com party, of course)

The event neared its end when Gabe started giving off prizes to people for being the biggest losers. A few of them were:
  • the first one to get food from the buffet table (I didn't catch the name of the winner Her name is Bambi, and she is a friend of Sophie's. She was first in line because it was her first meal of the day)
  • the first one who got to the venue (Miss Google Earth Aileen and her son Miguel were first)
  • the first one to kiss the loser Kenneth (I DID! And my prize was the "Bloggers Suck" shirt! MWAHAHA!)
  • the youngest in the group (my brother, mwahahaha)
  • the oldest in the group (Juned was first to admit, pero tinalbugan siya ni Tita Noemi hehe)
  • the first one to name 3 losers (LA really emphasized his awe over Mr. Masturbate, heh)
  • the first one to say "David and Goliath" backwards (Rico won by side sweeping Joy)
And then it was the end (and it was too soon, too, awww).

Shoutout to my tablemates --- Robby, LA, Aaron, Angel Juarez (who looked dashing in his pink polo, harhar), Joy Isaguirre, Reyn Adonay, and Azrael Coladilla. Also to the others I met and greeted at the event --- AJ Matela, Jeff Villafranca, Faith Salazar, Coy Caballes, Fritz Tentativa, Marielle Dado, Markku Seguerra, Tiffany Chua, Noel Feria, Maki Eduardo, Arbet Bernardo, Eugene Villar, Mica Rodriguez, and Cai.

Friends and I walked along Serendra until we decided to stop and stuff ourselves with burgers from Brothers Burger (I'm a sucker for cheese steaks, so I ordered their Cheese Steak Burger). Went home at a couple of minutes past 11PM, riding a cab with my brother and Joy (who was an awesome company 'cause she didn't assault me even if I did almost all the talking hahaha).

What is David and Goliath, you ask?

Well, aside from being cool with its totally spiffy tagline "We Make Stupid Stuff So You Don't Have To," it's a fresh and unique American clothing company founded in 2000 by Todd Goldman (and now I copy the PR stuff they gave us, lulz), which is famous for its humorous printing slogans and quotes (graphic imagery). David & Goliath was named after Todd's father (David) and his dog (Goliath).

So what, or who, then, are the Little Losers?

See, WE ARE!!! And that's why David & Goliath released a collection of graphic misfits that pay tribute to character stereotypes. The line was created after Todd jokingly referred to his friend as Mr. Douchebag, and the rest was history. The collection features 57 characters (21 are currently available in the stores).

You can check out the pictures I took of each t-shirt on display during the launch. They're available at Php995 each. Pretty pricey, I know, that's why I'm glad I got a Php1000 worth of gift certificate from the event, enough for one shirt, eh? :p

The collection is now available at David & Goliath stores located at Bonifacio High Street, Powerplant Mall, TriNoma, Robinsons Place Manila Midtown, Greenbelt 5, and Rustan's Makati.

Haha I was really waiting for someone to grab that chance, but there simply wasn't a person who wanted to do the job, so surprise, surprise, I kissed him (again). You know, now that I think about it, I kept on kissing his shoulders. Maybe I took the hint when Harrell kissed Kenneth's arm and Gabe made a joke about the arms being hairy (hehehe).

Aww, me too. It's more because I don't really ever buy shirts that are THAT expensive, and I do seriously need new sets of wardrobe.

Kaso, expensive talaga. Yeow!
