Eraserheads Reunion Concert Opening

This is what you get for P1300, but it's so worth it. Taken with my lovely Treo, kaya hindi maganda ang quality. Sorry naman. :p And I was more intent on capturing the reaction of the audience, honestly.

My Eraserheads Reunion Concert Story

Yes, this one-night-only reunion concert of one of the most popular Filipino bands of all time did happen, and I was one of the over 40,000 people who were able to witness it.

Against All Odds

To be perfectly frank, there was no intention for me to watch the concert at first, especially since it was free of charge (read: increased dreadful possibility of mosh pits, sharp elbows, and thick faces tenfold). I admit that I didn’t care one way or another about Marlboro/Philip Morris’ involvement in the said event; I thought people tended to overreact a lot about these things (there’s reacting, and there’s overreacting). Every issue raised, I took in with indifference. Bottomline was that — and people may/will bash me for this — the hell I care! The Eraserheads would be performing as one again after 6 long years! @#$%^&*!!!

I was partially grateful for growing up with my cousin who’s about 6 my senior. She was big on Eraserheads when I was in my early grade school years, and “With a Smile...

A Short Blurb on the Eraserheads Reunion Concert

Let me put it this way: if I did pay for the ticket I used, the concert would still be worth it, and more. That's how awesome Eraserheads was yesterday night, and no amount of bitter-talking can change that fact.

Sure, it was cut short, but seriously, I got to see and hear the band together again, and for me, that's all that really matters in the end.

More on this soon.

Thank you, Red Horse Beer! I love you! =D
Panties.

It must be undies week or something. They just keep peeking out from my clothes every frigging time I go out. Note to self: always wear your best underneath the trash clothes.

I wish I was kidding when I said I dropped my panties in front of my dad's guest. This is what happened, in detail. I was preparing our ever-famous shanghai spring rolls (lumpiang shanghai, always a hit during parties at home) when the first of dad's party guests arrived. There were two of them: the bank messenger and (I think) his neighbor. They were thoughtful enough to bring a gift --- Tiffy in a pink cage. They stayed in the living room, while I was in the adjoining kitchen with my mom. I was the only one in the family who hasn't taken a bath yet, because seriously, I didn't want to sweat immediately if I do the bathing before the cooking. My mom was able to shower already while I was "doing magic." As soon as I was done with my part, I ran upstairs to my room (which my mom used to claim to own, and which my d...

Y4IT 2008

First off….

I attended the first ever Ubuntu Love Day Manila a couple of days ago. It was an interesting event, to say the least. I “live-blogged” in my Multiply account, only because I had nothing better to do. I also mooched some books (and got mooched in the process), answered a couple of emails, and Plurked nonsensical stuff in between. Multi-tasking, anyone?

Anyway, here are the photos I took, some other photos, slides of the presenters, and video clips of the presenters.

Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology

I’ve never been to a Y4IT event before, mainly because of reasons that are financial in nature. She’s mostly white, with golden/brownish tints on her head that also runs along her back. She’s been with me for 5 days, and I fall in love with her more and more each day. It’s been an awkward week for us both because

she’s bigger than what I’m used to (dwarf hamsters). It takes time getting used to.

she’s a bit too skittish, jumpy, and nervous except when she’s asleep. And when she sleeps, almost no noise can wake her up. Since hamsters sleep daylights off, I can only play with her during the night. Even then, she’s still extremely nervous.

in relation to the previous observation, she’s not exactly sociable. She doesn’t bite (yet), but she also doesn’t like to be handled for more ...

Nabwisit na nga ako kahapon nung nag-email ako sa Customer Service nila, dahil after 7 long hours, ang natanggap ko lang ay isang automated response na, "For your convenience, you may also call our Customer Support Hotlines." Naisip ko na lang, "Punyeta! Wala ngang dial tone eh!" Pasalamat sila't walang dial tone, dahil sa sobrang init ng ulo ko kahapon, baka di ko mapigilan ang sarili kong patutsadahan sila pag nakausap ko sila sa phone.

Nagtaray na nga ako sa email eh.

Under...

The line just fits my mood for the past couple of hours, and I think I can at least try to let it out.

Everyone gets to feel this way at one point or another. Sort of happy and sad. Typical "Di naman masyadooooowww! Slight lang" kind of thing. One moment you feel all giddy about something, and then the next thing you know you're stumped quite badly about the same thing. Half the things in your life is going right, while the other half is taking a nosedive.

I was actually a bit okay two days ago. I had just been with friends, and I intended not even the horrible traffic to ruin my day. But the news was quite depressing with all the dead civilians in Mindanao, then all Plurkers I know seemed to have found someone "special" to be their inspiration, and I was, like, "Where does that leave me?" And once again, I had to take a step back, look at the bigger picture, reflect on the past couple of months, and ...

Manga Yer Fez

Have you heard of Face Your Manga?

No?

Well, now you have!

I made mine last August 14, only because I badly needed an avatar that didn’t look like a terrible mess…like the ones I used to do. So, yeah. There. I thought the user had to upload a picture or something, then a script would generate a manga version of the picture. I was wrong.

But I sort of like the avatar. Though I don’t usually wear my eyeglasses, and my shoulders and face aren’t exactly thin. Also, in real life, the black stuff on my head is actually a mop that passes off as my hair. Not quite as shiny. More like unruly. My boobs are probably bigger, but don’t take my word for it. And, well, I don’t look quite as cute as my avatar. Weeh, hurts to admit.

Well, have you “manganized” your face? Share!
